Winter Time Challenges Van Life

I do adore my van life, and eventually I will get to save, but although it can be romantic, or a romantic idea of taking your home where ever you want to go, there is the challenges of the winter cold when your not hooked up to power, and that horrible rain when you have to get up and out to work.  So for a week I decided to give the Accommodation Park a go :(.  Not an ideal spot, although parked and plugged in, its not a place I would let my child run about. So back on the road again we go. Thankfully fully charged we need to prepare for the cold nights. Will be insulating the windows with good old bubble wrap, fluffy socks are ready for bed and gigantic fluffy dressing gown.  Unfortunately no oven use while on the road but have the trusty gas cooker that warms the van.

Tips for Winter Van Life:

• Insulate windows with bubble wrap
• Fluffy socks
• Thermal underwear and gear
• Open all curtains during the day and close before dark
• Lots of cooking
• Lots of blankets and sleeping bags
